Texas Man Faces Drugs and Firearm Charges

Jeremy Lee Swanner, 44-years of age of College Station, Texas faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver-Marijuana a Class C Felony, Simultaneous Possession Drugs & Firearms, a Class Y Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Certain Person, Criminal Impersonation and several traffic violation charges.  Swanner was stopped by a St. Francis County Deputy on I-40 for a moving violation.  At the time of the traffic stop the driver could not produce a driver license or any identification.  During the traffic stop the deputy asked consent to search the vehicle and the driver admitted to the deputy that he had some marijuana in the vehicle but refused consent for the deputy to open the three sealed U.S.P.S. packages that was in the backseat.  At the time the driver had a suspended driver's license, expired vehicle registration and no insurance.  The driver was arrested and booked into the SFC Detention Center for the traffic violations and the vehicle was also towed to the detention center.  Investigators obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and for the contents inside vehicle.  During the search investigators recovered and seized about a half a pound of marijuana, box of THC vapes, two glass canning jars containing a paste substance which contained THC, 2 handguns and ammunition and syringes. Investigators were finally able to positively identify the individual as Jeremy Lee Swanner and he is scheduled to appear before the St. Francis County District Court Judge today where a bond will be set.
