The St. Francis County Sheriff Department received a tip that a wanted sex offender was working at a business in Wynne Arkansas.  Robert Boyd Shaw 47 years-old of St. Francis County was taken into custody without incident by the Wynne Police Department.  Shaw a Level-2 Sex Offender was wanted on a 2022 charge for Fail to Comply with Sex Offender Reporting Requirements, a Class C Felony. Shaw was convicted in Cross County Circuit Court back in April 2021, for Sexual Grooming a Child a Class D Felony.  Shaw received a two-year suspended sentence and was placed on the State Sex Offender Registry. Shaw has since bonded out of jail and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday April 15, 2024, in St. Francis District Court.  The St. Francis County Sheriff Department would like to thank the person who provided the tip along with the Cross County Sheriff Department and the Wynne Police Department for their assistance in this matter.
