Sex offender Facing New Charges

John Harrison Lewis, 50-years-old of Colt, Arkansas was arrested Saturday evening without incident at a residence on Evans Rd in Caldwell. Deputies were called to the residence where it was reported that Lewis was cooking dope inside the residence.  Deputies located Lewis and a female inside his bedroom.  Lewis was taken into custody on a warrant for Fail to Comply with Sex Offender Verification a Class C Felony.  Deputies located methamphetamine on a dresser in his bedroom along with items to manufacture methamphetamine which included a glass bottle that contained a liquid substance that later field tested positive for methamphetamine, coffee filters, rubber tubing, salts and acid, also recovered was a glass jar with tubing that was being used as a meth bong that contained a liquid solution which also tested positive for methamphetamine that was used to ingest methamphetamine.  Lewis admitted that all the items recovered from his bedroom belonged to him and the female was not charged.  Lewis was charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine a Class C Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance a Class C Felony and Possession Drug Paraphernalia a Class B Felony.  Lewis's bond was set at $60,000 on all charges.
