Helena Man Arrested for Selling Copper

Tommy Gosa 62-years-old of Helena, AR was arrested without incident yesterday by the Helena Police Department on a felony warrant issued out of the St. Francis County Sheriff Department.  Gosa was identified as the person selling the stolen copper belonging to Woodruff Electric Corp to J&W Salvage located on Highway 70 just west of Forrest City. A Woodruff worker reported that they had at least two utility poles cut down in Helena area where the copper wire had been removed from the transformers. Gosa is charged with Theft by Receiving a Class D Felony and is scheduled to appear before the judge today where a bond will be set.  The Phillips County Sheriff Department is investigating the incident where the poles were cut down.
