Criminal Investigation Division

Captain Glen Ramsey began working in law enforcement in 1969, with the Forrest City Auxillary Police. He has spent several years as an Auxillary Deputy Sheriff with the St. Francis County Sheriff Department. In 1985 he became a full time law enforcement officer with the St. Francis County Sheriff's office. He graduated from Law Enforcement Training Academy in Camden.

For the past twenty-five years he has worked in Criminal Investigations and has investigated every type of crime listed within the criminal code book. Having an opportunity to attend various training and seminars within the state an out-of-state with agencies suchs Forrest City Police Dept., Forrest City Fire Dept., AR State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Alcohol, tobacco and Firearms, Regional Organized Crime Information Center, U.S. Attorneys office, AR Criminal Justice Institute, East AR Community College and Phillips Co. Community College.

If has been an honor and pleasure for me to work for the citizens and fellow officers for the past twenty-five years and to the elected Sheriff's who had faith and confidence in me.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the St. Francis County Sheriff Department consists of three full time detectives that investigation and processes all crimes that occur within the jurisdiction of the St. Francis County Sheriff's Department. Duties of the investigators include the following:

• Investigating crimes
• Investigating missing persons
• Conducting interviews
• Follow-up investigation
• Surveillance
• Preparation of warrants
• Compiling case files







The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for Sex Offender registration and handling all matters relating to sex offenders, including:

• Sex Offender Registration
• Follow ups
• Issuance of warrants
• Locating and tracking of offenders
